Dr. Shandy Andrews is a distinguished professor recognized in both the United States and The Bahamas. She is a Licensed Cosmetologist, Nail Technician, Dermatologist, and Barber Instructor with over 24 years of experience in the beauty industry. Since July 2012, Dr. Andrews has been an instructor at the National Institute of Cosmetology, where she holds multiple leadership roles, including 4th Vice President, Institute Dean, Lead Instructor for the Esthetics and Nails Division, Educational Liaison for International Students, and State President for The Bahamas.

Dr. Shandy Andrews has educated students worldwide, including in Africa, Canada, Texas, Virginia, Atlanta, and The Bahamas. As a Master Educator for Tammy Taylor since October 2014, she also holds a Cosmetology License in Florida. Her educational background includes training at prestigious institutions such as:

• The Industrial Training Center and L’Institut Des Esthétiques (Nassau, Bahamas)

• The International Dermal Institute (Florida)

• Sothys Academy (Florida)

• Miracle University (Gretna, Virginia)

• The National Institute of Cosmetology, where she earned her Doctoral Degrees in Advanced Cosmetology, Nail, and Skin Care

In 2012, she founded and currently serves as the President of The Caribbean, Denver, Florida Artisans of Beauty Coalition (formerly Flawless Institut Beauty Association), a platform dedicated to elevating the beauty profession.

Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Andrews actively participates in global workshops, seminars, and classes to stay at the forefront of beauty industry advancements. She has also expanded her expertise with:

• Certification in Reflexology (Atlanta, Georgia)

• Associate Degree in Accounting (Success Training College, Nassau, Bahamas)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Management with a concentration in Accounting (Nova University, Miami, Florida)

• Dr. Andrews is currently furthering her education at:

Walden University, pursuing a Master’s Degree in Education (expected Fall 2026)

Brevard Christian University, where she will earn a Doctorate in Christian Education (Summer 2025)

 

As an instructor, Dr. Andrews provides professional training through Flawless Institut De Beautè Enhancement, an accredited institution recognized by the Ministry of Education and The National Accreditation and Equivalency Council NAECOB (Nassau Bahamas). She has mentored many cosmetology instructors now teaching at BTVI, C.V. Bethel, and Government High in Nassau, Bahamas.
